Brubay Shipyard
Brubay Shipyard is located at KM 9, Sungai Seguntor, 90000 Sandakan, Sabah, Malaysia, covering an area of approximately 15 acres.
Initially, the shipyard focused on the building, repair, and maintenance of its own vessels. Over time, operations expanded to include dry docking and repair services for third-party vessels of up to 100 metres in length.
Brubay Shipyard utilizes air bag systems for the up-slipping and down-slipping of vessels, providing an efficient and flexible alternative to conventional slipway methods.
The shipyard specializes in low-draft vessels such as:
-
Landing Craft Tanks (LCTs)
-
Self-Propelled Oil Barges
-
Other shallow-water vessel variations
In addition to steel vessel construction for heavy-duty applications, Brubay Shipyard also builds aluminium boats, offering lightweight and corrosion-resistant solutions for various marine operations.
